Live Photos is an Apple technology that allows a single photo to be both a photo, and when activated, it contains a few seconds of movement and sound. Let's find out more about this article!

What is Live Photo on iPhone?

Live photos debuted in iPhone 6s, which allow you to take animated photos. A 3-second video is simply added to each photo.

In iOS 11, Apple has added a feature that lets you play with images. You can even use different types of animation (e.g. Loop with reflection), but this is not the most interesting.

The Live Photos icon (three circles) is located in the upper right corner of the screen. If there is no line through it, Live Photos is enabled. If the icon has a line, tap it to turn on Live Photos.

How to capture a live photo on iPhone?

It easy to shoot a Live Photo with your iPhone!

Live Photo records 3 seconds of movement and sound. 1.5 seconds Live Photo is recorded before the shutter button is pressed, and 1.5 seconds is recorded later.

So remember to compose your shot and hold it down for a few seconds before pressing the shutter button. If you don't do this, the first part of the Live Photo will be to move the camera to frame the shot.
