The latest version of Facebook regarding the distinctive Snapchat feature is now available and it's called Vanish Mode. First announced as part of September's big Messenger redesign, Vanish Mode is an ephemeral messaging mode for both Facebook Messenger and Instagram that will allow you to send texts, photos, voicemails, emojis, and stickers that disappear instantly when viewed by other people and the chat window will close.
The Vanish Mode feature is one that all Facebook fans have been waiting for for a long time. Admittedly, Facebook is not the first platform where this feature has been introduced. His competition, i.e. Snapchat, has been using this facility some time ago and has apparently decided not to stay behind. The Vanish Mode feature is designed to give users more privacy and security. Disappearing messages after closing the chat, or the ability to see someone take a screenshot. As Facebook emphasizes, the content is to be kept up to an hour and in the event of possible abuse, moderated by moderators.
What is the Vanish mode, the mode of disappearing messages?
The Disappear Mode will appear in both apps as a separate option that can be turned on or off in any chat message settings. You can also enter this mode by swiping up in the chat window (Disappear mode is currently only available for one-on-one chats, not for group threads). The mode will then allow messages and other chat interactions to disappear, with the option to turn off at the top of the chat window or by swiping down again.
Facebook says that the mode will be available only with the agreement, which means that you must agree to enter the Vanish mode when another chat user turns on him. Messenger and Instagram will also notify you to take a screenshot of the chat while this mode is on. Facebook says that you can report the person via chat in the Vanish mode, although it is not clear how much of the conversation on Facebook will be able to check for violations.

How to Enable Vanish Mode on Messenger?
For Android:
1. First of all, open the Messenger app on your device.
2. Then, tap on one of the chats to see it.
3. Click the Info Icon in the circle on the right side of the screen.
4. Scroll down the list of Conversation Settings.
5. Enter the Vanish Mode Tab.
6. Enable Vanish Mode by clicking the dot next to it.
7. Select the Left Arrow symbol on top to get back to the conversation.
8. Insert the message in the bar on the bottom.
9. Send it by choosing the arrow symbol on the right side.
10. Wait for the response.
11. When the conversation is over, quit it.
12. Great! Your messages in this Messenger conversation have vanished permanently.
For iOS:
1. In the very beginning, open Messenger app on your device.
2. Select one chat from the list.
3. Tap on the profile picture in the circle to open the chat settings.
4. Scroll down the list of settings.
5. In the next step, choose Vanish Mode Tab.
6. Turn on Vanish Mode by tapping on dot next to it.
7. Press on Confirmation Button on the bottom.
8. Get back to the conversation by clicking the Left Arrow Symbol.
9. Choose the Symbol of Arrow again.
10. Type in a message and send it.
11. Wait for receiving a response.
12. Quit the chat to make messages disappear.
13. Done! The Vanish Mode on this Messenger chat has been enabled.
As you can see, turning on the Vanish Mode takes literally a few minutes and it is easy to do. It is definitely a feature that is useful and allows you to maintain more privacy. You can turn it on and off at any time, which is also a very good solution.
