Find out how to fix Android app download problem

Invalid IMEI.

Downloading applications from the Google Store is not always as easy and obvious as it may seem. Probably you have repeatedly received an error in downloading or downloading the application stopped halfway. Sometimes a small application that doesn't require a lot of space on your phone can take ages to download. So how do you fix the error in downloading apps on the Google Store? What do you need to pay attention to so that the download does not stop halfway? What to do if the Google Store has a problem downloading the application? Fortunately, this problem is easily fixed.

Apps not downloading

The problem with downloading applications in Android is an increasingly common problem faced by smartphone owners. Fortunately, it's not a major issue that requires a Hard Reset or a repair. All you need to do is read the tips below, and your problem will disappear in the blink of an eye and you will be able to enjoy the application again.

1. Check the connection to the WiFi network

Why check the WiFi connection at all? This may not seem to have anything to do with the problem, but quite the opposite. WiFi problems can cause download problems. As you know, the network is needed to connect to the Google store, so we will not do anything without it. Poor connection quality can interrupt that downloaded applications take a long time to download or stay in place, or even stop. So check your internet settings, if that doesn't help, continue to the next steps.

2. Download applications from the browser

If you have a problem with downloading by your smartphone, and you need to download the application without waiting. You can do this using your internet browser. All you need to do is log in to your Google account that is linked to your phone. So, to download any application, go to the Google Store website and select the application, then click Install.

3. Reset your device

Another thing you can do is Reset your device. You probably think that such a solution will not help, but sometimes the reboot itself is an effective method and brings the desired results.

Hold down the power button for a few seconds until you see the Reset or Reboot option, select Reset.

4. Check for system update

Sometimes the problem with apps and the download itself can be with the update. An outdated version may cause errors to occur. To avoid this, check if a new version is available. We show how to do this below.

Go to Settings > System & updates >Software update > Check for updates.
A video on how to check it is presented below.

You can also check if the Google Store version is up-to-date, follow these steps to check it.
Play Store > Menu (left-upper corner) >Settings > App download preference> Over any network
A video on how to check it is presented below.

5. Clear the cache and data of the Google Play app

If none of the above-mentioned methods have worked, it's time to try some more radical steps. The Google Store app itself may be the culprit, so clearing the app's cache often helps to fix a lot of issues, including pending download issues. Please note that the steps may slightly differ depending on the Android version and its interface.

Settings > Apps > Apps > Search for Google Play Store > Storage > Clear Cache.

6. Check for current downloads and updates

Download errors also result from downloading several applications at the same time. So you don't have to update all of them at once, only the ones that interest you the most. To check for application updates Go to Google Play> Menu> My Apps & Games. Below is a video of how to do it.

7. Uninstall and reinstall Play Store updates

Uninstalling the Play Store and updating it is the final step if none of the above methods worked. You can do this by going to Settings> Applications> Google Play Store> Uninstall Updates. You may see a message to change the Play Store to the factory version. If so, click OK.
Below is a video on how to do it.

Note!
Do not restore the phone to factory settings, if you have not tried to uninstall updates to Google Play.

All you have to do is open Google Play and download it again. After downloading, the Play Store will update to the latest version.
